Two full days of sewing....nirvana Awesome and aggrivating.
These are the two quotes I wrote on the ribbons in the border:

"Roll on thou deepand dark blue ocean roll

Ten thousand fleets sweep over thee in vain---

Man marks the earth with ruin

His control stops with the shore" Lord Byron

"The heart can think of no devotion greather than

Being shore to ocean" R.Frost

I have had two days of peace no work no husband. Just me and my sewing machine and fabric stash. I have been collecting fabrics that remind me of the Gulf when we go boating. The colors are so wonderful, blues, greens, silver, gold, and all things in between. I wanted to paint it, but I don't paint very well, so I thought I would quilt it.

I love the hunt for a project, and the end, 'ta da', but the middle sucks....I ripped my house apart looking for stuff like a regular sewing needle, the instruction book for my sewing machine, the thread I just bought, etc...... My back is killing me. For some reason when I sew, I get this sharp pain right under my shoulder blade, like a knife in my back. I actually use a tennis ball between me and the wall to rub it out.

Anyway, here is my finished quilt/wall hanging/artsy thingy. Now what do I do??? Should I hang it in my house, sell it on ETSY, bring it to the Wild Child Gallery and see if they want to sell it? How much should I sell it for???? I love creating these things, but hate to part with them...Delemma, Delemma.

I am going shopping tomorrow to buy more fabric YIPPEEEEEE

I like how you describe quilting as a remedy for wanting to paint. I would love to express my love for scenes and colors in a painting too, and quilting helps me satisfy that longing.
