We have been giving the grand tour of our area to some friends from up north for the past few days. It has been a blast. We get to show off all the good things here in southwest Florida. Yesterday we took the boat to Captiva for a quick lunch and dip in the Gulf. It was hot hot hot....We stopped here at Jensen's Marina and took a walk across the street to the Mucky Duck for lunch and a swim.

I just loved this sign at the bait shack, I hope you can read it. This is such a quaint spot, real southwest Florida, no Disneyesque fluff.

It really makes you appreciate this area when you take northerners on the tour, we forget how great it is here sometimes. I guess it's true about anywhere you live though. So, take some time to take a vacation in your own backyard.
